“The team has really committed to team defense and has done a good job controlling tempo on the offensive end throughout the playoffs. We have had some big contributions from a lot of different guys recently. But last night the highlight of the night had to be John Dusel’s huge goalie save in a crucial moment of the game. That got the whole team fired up!” Coach Zac Koerner said after the victory.
The Golden Eagles from Clovis West got out to an early 4-2 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter the Marauders made their move by outscoring Clovis West 7-3 in the quarter and taking a 9-7 lead going in to the half.
