After learning some tough lessons against Mother Lode, Jesuit rugby was happy to get on the field at home for the first time in almost a year. With the help of dedicated parents, volunteers and the ground staff Jesuit was able to set up a temporary field and host Bishop O'Dowd for a friendly match. Both teams needed the experience and teams were able to play four 20 minute quarters. This allowed every player to get a chance to play and for the coaches to work on some fixes in real time. Jesuit came out strong with a mixed team of JV and Varsity players to score three tries. Bishop O'Dowd would not quit and made a few long breaks that resulted in three tries. Jesuit was able to right the ship and use aggressive defense to create some opportunities to get a couple of tries at to end the game. Final score was 34-22.
Players of the Game - Senior Flyhalf Hunter Conrad who helped get the attack moving and Sophomore George Hemmen who ran hard and put in some big tackles all day.
